Many bars have opened throughout this section of the neighborhood, along with two craft breweries, restaurants and night clubs. This district is also known as the arts district for Riverside and Avondale.
Upscale shopping is found at the Shoppes of Avondale with around 46 storefronts. The center was recently renovated back in 2010 under the Town Center Program of Jacksonville.
All three of these districts provide plenty of history and date back to the 1920s. The architecture is rather unique and there are plenty of options for dining, shopping and entertainment found throughout.
