If you live or visit the Southside of Jacksonville, you may be pleased to hear that some exciting new additions are coming to the area, specifically to the St. Johns Town Center. There are actually four projects in the works for the popular shopping center that will involve new restaurants, shopping, and mixed-use properties. Take a look at all of the exciting projects recently completed or currently in the works for Southside Jacksonville residents and those that love to visit the St. Johns Town Center.
What to expect for the St. Johns Town Center
The thriving outdoor town center with a large variety of businesses in dining, shopping, and more will now see more businesses joining the community to make this the shopping mall to beat. Last year, Topgolf made its way to the area and it was a huge success, and this year, plans are in the works for the addition of the Town Center Promenade, The Strand, The Crossing, and other undeveloped lands along the Town Center Parkway.
The Town Center hasn’t seen this much change since it brought Nordstrom to the mall so long ago. This will mean more of your favorite businesses joining St. Johns Town Center and new brands joining the Jacksonville area.
The Strand, The Crossing, Town Center Promenade
You’ll see new developments coming to the area that includes the addition of The Strand, The Crossing, and Town Center Promenade. The Strand is going to see several familiar brands like Hobby Lobby, Moe’s Southwest Grill, The Art of Nails, and Hyatt Place, while it will also gain new-to-market businesses such as Chuy’s Tex-Mex, PGA Tour Superstore, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, and Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse.
For The Crossing, you’ll be gaining two favorite brands including the ABC Fine Wine & Spirits and PDQ, while gaining two new brands including Wawa and Goo-Goo 3 Minute Express Wash.
When it comes to the Town Center Promenade, you’ve likely noticed the new Taco Bell and Aspen Dental that have already opened in the area. You can also expect favorite restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Roadhouse, Starbucks Coffee, and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews. In addition, be on the lookout for brands like Tire Kingdom, Tru by Hilton, and Aldi.
Other exciting changes
You’ll also see businesses coming in other ways, such as the Best Buy and Chase Bank moving in across the street from The Strand. You’re also going to see the new IKEA location in Jax located at the I-295/Gate Parkway intersection and the recent Apple storefront situated between the Tory Burch and Tesla showroom. The developments are also expecting apartment complexes to be a part of the change with Ravella at Town Center being planned for The Strand and another apartment being planned for the Promenade.
Locals can expect a great variety of personal services, fine dining, casual eateries, groceries, and more coming to their favorite outdoor mall. Once construction is complete, this is going to be the area of town that is hard to beat. Check out these exciting favorite brands and new ones to the Jacksonville market coming soon.
